I love my job because it beats the stereotype that baking is only for women. I'm a tough guy and I love making cupcakes! I have my own shop in a little street called "Tom's Treats".
Even though my job doesn't require any formal prerequisites, I like it because I get to use my amazing math skills - I have to calculate ingredients on a daily basis.
I measure and prepare my ingredients the night before I make my cupcakes. On a cupcake day, which is every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, I gather all my ingredients and bake some magic! On Fridays, I like to relax a little, so that's when I go back to the drawing board and invent some new recipes. That doesn't mean though that I won't have some fancy cupcakes in the oven!
One downside to my job is that I'm a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy- but it is a requirement for me to wear a uniform. I don't have a lot of hair on my head, so it's not necessary for me to wear a hairnet.
I have a quite decent salary of $18. It might not sound like much, but I'm a pretty simple guy and I don't have a girlfriend to provide to...but that's okay, a lot of women frequent my shop ;)
After high school, I attended a culinary institute to learn how to cook and bake. I specialized in cupcakes, because not only are they cute, they are individual and smaller, so it means that you can try a lot of different flavours!
I also take custom orders and sometimes get asked to take my cupcakes to birthday parties.
I like to frost cupcakes the best. I like to make the craziest designs and combine awesome flavours!
My job is always different, and that's what I like about it! :)
