Clayton the Fabulous Costume Designer

Hey friends. I'm Clayton, and as young man with hope, I moved to New York City to live my dream.

I am a costume designer.

I've always been interested in fashion and beauty.

I studied theatre and fashion design, as well as makeup.

In my everyday life, I like to read magazines, attend fashion shows and experiment on my canvas, which is my face...Anything to let my creative flow out!

At my job, I meet with producers, directors and actors in order to discuss our ideas, budget and the practicality of costumes. If an actor has to run during the scene, and she's wearing stiletto heels and a ball gown, it's not going to go well!!! Haha!

I also research fashion from previous decades for inspiration. I love fashion from the olden days, especially the 1920's.

Once I have all of my ideas planned, I have to measure the actors and make sure they're comfortable. After, I cut the fabrics and start sewing! That's my favourite part!


Even if I get to do what I like at my job, sometimes I am unemployed because my job opportunities depend on the projects I book.

My salary depends on how much work is done and how generous the producers are, but it usually ranges from $20,000 to $70,000.

And now, the part I've been waiting to show you... MY DESIGNS!!!

And my favourite...... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!
